Abi joined the Woodland Trust in 2018 and leads a team that works both inside the Trust, working with colleagues to embed the Trust’s conservation principles and goals; and externally to influence decision-makers at all levels of public policy.
Abi was previously Head of Policy and Advocacy at the RSPB for 10 years and also led their Agriculture Policy team for several years, working primarily to secure further fundamental reform of the CAP and improve implementation to enhance nature.
Prior to joining RSPB in 2007, Abi worked in Mikumi National Park in Tanzania and is a qualified chartered accountant since 2001, with degrees in languages and in ecology and conservation.
